Occasionally, the Crier honors a local videomaker with the Copycat/Copycat Award, an award that honors creativity in the making of videos. This year’s award goes to Katherine “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair for her work on Kids Just Want to Have Fun, a videoscript about some kids that just want to have fun. The Copycat/Copycat Award follows on the heels of another tremendous video win for “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair. Ole Kathy is certainly tearing up the festival circuit this year—this “video-artiste” of Floyd County.
As everyone in Floyd County already knows, there are only three writing awards worth their weight in gold; these awards are the Academy Awards (or the Oscars), the Golden Globes, and the Content Film Festival and Media Summit. Recently, “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair won the Content Film Festival and Media Summit. Now that “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair has won the Content Film Festival and Media Summit, she’s a “shoo-in” for the upcoming Oscars and Golden Globes. The “Oscar & Globe Watchers” in Vegas give Ole Kathy a 99.7% chance of winning this year’s Oscar and Golden Globe.
Loyal Crier readers will recognize “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair [née “Dumb-Dumb” Dudley or Dumb & Dumber Dudley] from her self-serving exploits at the 2020 Rome International Festival, where she then served as Education Director [chuckle…chuckle]. Back in 2020, Ole Kathy actually made a video and then selected that same video for inclusion in a festival that she managed and curated—a clear abuse of power and undermining of the public trust. Instead of tootin’ her horn about town—which certainly seems the case as it relates to Kids Just Want to Have Fun—Ole Kathy needs to issue a public apology for her actions at RIFF 2020. Then, she needs to step away from any and all matters related to education—after all she was the “Education Director” for RIFF. If she can’t determine “right from wrong” as RIFF’s Educational Director, can she determine “right from wrong” in any educational context?
At a minimum, Ole Kathy needs some distance in order to self-reflect on educational matters. And, herein stands the harsh reality; it seeps into the hidden contours of Rome City and Floyd County. Those who don’t support such punishment and self-reflection—they too stand complicit in the dishonesty. In other words, if there’s an educational institution out there championing Ole Kathy, they too stand accountable in the dishonesty. The Crier is not suggesting “tarring & feathering,” but punishment should be enacted for such self-promotion within the context of managing the educational arm of an organization—such charlatans and dilettantes should be excommunicated from educational circles. And just in case you don’t believe the Crier, then read about Ole Kathy’s exploits at RIFF 2020. Learn about those extraordinary, self-serving exploits here.
“Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair was chosen by the Crier from several million videomakers because of her unique ability to create a good title for her video, a videoscript about some kids just wanting to have fun. In fact, the title is overtly obvious and ubiquitous, having been used many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many times before:
· Kids Just want to Have Fun @ IMDb.
· Drew’s Famous Kids Just Want to have Fun @ Amazon.
· Kids Just want to Have Fun @ Project 1590.
· Kids Just want to Have Fun @ Thoughtfull.
· Kids Just Want to Have Fun @ Huffington Post.
There seems to be lots of kids out there, and they all just want to have fun. It would also seem—at least based on all these similar titles—Ole Kathy is an outstanding copycat/copycat and very much a “video-artiste.” Ole Kathy certainly keeps her creative ear to the ground, especially when it comes to originality as it relates to video titles. What’s next—the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award? Don’t worry; whenever Ole Kathy gets a gold star on a paper, she’s the first to let everyone know, so shill [sic] let us know.
So, without further ado, the Crier congratulates “Dumb Broad” Dudley Blair [née “Dumb-Dumb” Dudley or Dumb & Dumber Dudley] on winning the Copycat/Copycat Award while penning the most original video title in the entire history of videomaking. And that means all the videos ever made in the history of the video world…from the very beginning of videos until right now…literally all the videos ever made…in all of video history. In fact, Ole Kathy’s video will change—forever—the way videos are written, made, and judged. A cheer for Ole Kathy!
