A few years ago, feckless officials in Rome congregated and attempted to give the western portion of the city an identity; these merry-andrews came up with the idea of WeRo, a “hip & trendy” nickname for West Rome. Inspired by the big-city planners in New York and Los Angeles, the idea was to mimic specific urban areas within those municipalities, respectively SoHo in the Big Apple and WeHo in the City of Angels.
In a moment of great inspiration, Roman-city planners dubbed everything between Shorter University and Oreburg Road as WeRo.
With that inspiration in mind, here are five things to see and do in WeRo.

LA and New York elites often talk of “fly-over country.” WeRo is the drive-thru equivalent.
